Detail oriented people like to spend time on things that often are not so relevant to others and that can easily exhaust people who aren't sensitive to the same things.
However they're right when it comes down to revenues. Anything can be done as long as it can be tested and it yields to optimisations.
Go ahead and test your ideas to see if you can generate more revenues. There's often a better way and if it's not doable right now, it may be in the future!
