Should you kill your project fast?

You've probably heard it before and it sounds like a management tool to select projects at will. You're not performing well? We don't like what you do? You're dead.

However there are many examples of projects that worked well after a while, that needed time to mature and to generate interest. And money eventually.

Also if you keep starting from scratch what will you have in the end?

However even cancelled projects bring a lot of lessons learnt, so don't worry about killed projects. Moreover the idea will survive even though the execution stops: the team will be able to resurect the idea later on once a better plan or a market opportunity has been identified.
